Zambian High Commissioner to Kenya, Amb. Brenda Muntemba has succumbed to injuries following an accident that occurred at Lukenya bridge on February 26.
At the time, the ambassador sustained several injuries after her Toyota Prado collided head-on with a trailer as she was on her way to Nairobi.
She was later admitted to Machakos Level 5 Hospital and was operated on to stem internal bleeding before she was evacuated to a hospital in Nairobi.
Brenda had then admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Nairobi Hospital since.
During the accident, the 49-year old ambassador was together with her Zambian colleague Kama Wasa and her driver Joseph Guttu.

Botwana Ambassador to Kenya Duke Lephoko and his driver Morris Maweu who were riding behind their Zambian colleagues also rammed into the trailer.
Prior to her appointment as High Commissioner, Brenda Muntemba served as Southern Province Police Commissioner and Chief Program Officer at UNESCO in Zambia.
She was married to Reverend Sulanji Andrew Sichilembe in 2006.
The deceased had one daughter, Lukundo Mirriam Nachilembe.
