Wiper party members have said that they will re visit the memorandum of understanding in NASA that assured them of a Kalonzo Musyoka presidency in 2022. the meeting which was convened by Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana to chart a way forward of the part and also discuss if the party should stay within the alliance.

They also said that they would assert their authority on the memorandum of understanding. The Wiper party members also said that they would replace the long serving members who had left the party, they include former Kitui senator David Musila and Hassan Omar.
Organising secretary Robert Mbui Kathiani MP raise a concern about a new scheme by ODM politicians to shift goal posts on Raila’s quest for the presidency. He however did not disclose what he meant by this statement
The differed with the NASA stance of proceeding with demonstrations as they thought it would disrupt the national exams.
The MOU had stated that Raila supports Kalonzo’s presidential bid after serving the first term. It brought together Raila, Kalonzo and Wetang’ula, but Raila did not win the 2013 election.They made another agreement in 2017 and agreed that Kalonzo would be the candidate in 2022.
