A Wiper MP on Wednesday rubbished Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) list of nominees presented to the National Assembly by NASA.
Ben Momanyi, Borabu MP said that the Kalonzo Musyoka led party had been overlooked in the ‘unconstitutional’ list.
Wiper, he said commands at least five percent of the house membership something that did not reflect in the list of nominees.
On the list was Aisha Jumwa (Malindi), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay Woman Representative) and George Khaniri, Senator Vihiga county.
”Under this law, Wiper has a right to demand a slot in the PSC. We cannot have a situation where two people decide these positions, and do so in disregard of the coalition agreement that guides NASA,” Momanyi said.
Leader of Majority, Aden Duale urged the speaker Justin Muturi to protect Wiper from ‘unfair treatment’ it was getting from Raila Odinga’s party, ODM.

”We cannot bring partly dictatorship to the floor of the house. This is a serious constitutional issue that has been raised and we should not sit back when one party is being suffocated by its big brother,” Duale told the house.
”We are asking you to look at the constitutional issue raised and declare that a party known as Wiper, which is a parliamentary party as per our definition in the standing orders, needs to be represented in the commission.”
The PSC list has been met with a lot of opposition specially after Kajiado Central MP, Elijah Memusi was replaced under unclear circumstances with Wanga.
Jubilee on the other hand objected to Beth Mugo and Naomi Shabaan’s nomination to the committee.
