The Wiper Democratic Movement, led by their leader Kalonzo Musyoka held a meeting on Saturday to deliberate their next move after the 9 March Raila- Uhuru handshake.
Meeting at the Wiper House, Nairobi, the party came up with the resolution that they will join President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga’s quest to unite the country.
The party’s National Executive Committee and Parliamentary Group applauded President Uhuru Kenyatta’s fight against corruption and his plans with the Big Four Agenda.
They decided that they will directly join and work with President Uhuru in his efforts to fight corruption and build the country.
“We know that corruption is endemic and deeply entrenched in our Nation and that it will take a united approach and bold effort to rout it once and for all.” read their statement.
The NASA Principals have been divided since the handshake as the other two principals Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka felt betrayed by the deal.
CS Eugene Wamalwa recently came to Wetangula’s defense asking NASA leaders to respect him. Wetangula had accused Raila of running ODM like a gestapo.
