The World Health Organization (WHO) has been forced to cancel its Wednesday announcement appointing Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador.
The decision to cancel the appointment came after much outcry from most of Africans and others elsewhere who thought that Mugabe has made life harder for his citizens that they can’t even afford basic medicine.

WHO donors and human rights groups demanded that the UN body reverse the move as it was insulting in efforts to improve global health.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who made the appointment Wednesday, said in a statement that he had had “reflected” on his offer to the 93 year old Zimbabwean President and as a result I have decided to rescind the appointment.”

Robert Mugabe and his family goes to the East or Europe for treatment while the citizens of his country suffer under his stranglehold.
The WHO boss Tedros Adhanom is an Ethiopian who might be having a silent admiration for dictators as his country is run like a personal shop of the rulers with no basic freedoms for most of the citizens.
