Harambee Stars coach Sebastian Migne has assured that Victor Wanyama injury Sunday was nothing to worry about.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was substituted in the 72nd mind in Stars’ 3-0 win over Ethiopia in the Afcon 2017 qualifiers at the Kasarani Stadium after going down while holding his thigh.

“The injury was not serious,”  the Frenchman said, adding that the decision to pull him off was precautionary.

“At 3-0, there was no need to take a risk with him after he pulled a muscle in his left leg.

“He is our captain, and we need him to be fully fit for a final match in November against Sierra Leone, if they are reinstated.”

Wanyama netted the third goal from the spot after Michael Olunga and Eric Johanna had put Kenya in a comfortable lead in the first half.
