Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama was the center of attraction as Harambee Stars trained at Bahir Dar Stadium’s training ground in Ethiopia Monday.
Hundreds of football mad Ethiopian fans thronged the open field to watch Stars go through their paces and also to have a closer look at Wanyama whom they only watch on television playing in the Premier League.
Star, under the French manager Sebastien Migne, held their final training at the Bahir Dar Stadium Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s crucial Afcon 2019 qualifier against the hosts Ethiopia.
All the 22-players, who were summoned for the national duty arrived in camp by Monday and are raring to deliver.
Wanyama who is the team’s captain is making a comeback after missing the 1-0 win against Ghana in the Stars’ last qualifier in Nairobi last month with an injury.
“The preparations have been good although we have had a few days to prepare but we still had a good session so everything is good.
