Mp Shah Hospital has been accused of unreasonably charging a poor family after their daughter was stabbed by thugs in Kangemi and rushed to the Hospital.
The hospital is allegedly charging Matilda Anyango’s family Sh. 858,000 for being in the hospital for one night. She arrived at the hospital at 9.30pm and succumbed to her injuries at 10 am the next morning.
The family who lost their child through the unfortunate event are now devastated as the hospital has refused to release the body unless the fees are paid. They cannot afford the hospital bill and the morgue fees is also accumulating.
Kenyans on twitter have termed the cost as daylight robbery and exploitation by private hospitals.

Affordable Health care is part of president Uhuru Kenyatta big four agenda and such cases should be looked into as Kenyans are being exploited yet the service should be affordable
