University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor has asked the post graduate student in Mombasa and Kisumu to resume classes immediately.
Earlier this week the university was closed indefinitely following protests calling for the the vice Chancellors to resign.

Police last week assaulted the students inside the university of Nairobi halls of residence for allegedly causing danger to motorist during the demonstrations for the release of former student leader Babu Owino.

The students for open and distance are also required to resume classes immediately.

The students said that they felt that Professor Mbithi did not speak for them.
