President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cabinet nominees are filthy rich with CS for Water nominee, Simon Chelugui at the forefront with Sh796 million in moveable assets, farming and real estate.
Coming in second, according to a report tabled in Parliament, is the former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Keriako Tobiko.
The Environment CS nominee is worth a whooping Sh360 million which he has generated through investments in livestock, agriculture and real estate.
But when he was vetted for the DPP position back in 2011, Keriako told the committee that he was worth Sh80 million.
In third place, the report tabled by the Committee on Appointments is former Meru Governor, Peter Munya who is worth at least Sh264 million.
Former Royal Media Services Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Ministry of Lands nominee, Faridah Karoney is in fourth place and is worth Sh200 million all from shares, farming and real estate.
John Munyes, Monica Juma and Margaret Kobia come in fifth with at least Sh50 million in their names.
