Ugandan left back Shafik Batambuze has signed a two-year contract to join Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

Shafik was a free agent after leaving Singida United of Tanzania.

The ex-Tusker man sealed the deal on Tuesday and is expected to replace his fellow countryman Godrey Walusimbi who joined Kaizer Chiefs of Tanzania mid this year.

The deal is reportedly worth between Ksh 1 and 3 million shillings.
