UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Board have suspended Real Madrid captain for two matches in the UCL for deliberately getting booked.

In the 2-1 victory at Johan Cruyff Arena, the 32-year old earned a yellow card which automatically locked him out second leg tie at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Spaniard got himself into UEFA’s wrong books after he admitted to a journalist in an interview after the match that he had intentionally got himself booked to make himself available in next games.
