The services in the retailer have also been revamped. Uchumi supermarket has been facing financial woes leading to closure of most of their major outlets around the country.
Though covered in debt the supermarket has said that they intend to have paid all their debtors by end of March 2018.
This is not the first time that the supermarket almost shut down and Kenyans are hopeful that the supermarket will survive the economic crunch.
