Two people lost their lives on Sunday after a conflict ensued at a waterpoint in Garissa-Isiolo border, as herders fought for the rare commodity.
Lagdera deputy county commissioner Philip Koima says that another one was seriously injured even as communities within the drought-stricken area fought for survival.
The police identified the deceased as Mahat Hassan Adan, 22, and Ibrahim Abdi Yussuf 23, while Mahat Salah is recuperating in Modogashe Hospital with gunshots wounds.
Lagdera MP Mohamed Hire alleged wardens were culpable.

“These rangers are not police officers trained to mingle with citizens,” he said.
Police are hunting down the perpetrators.
