One person was on Wednesday morning injured after a commuter train collided with a trailer near Cereals, Donholm.
The train is said to have been heading to Embakasi and was derailed after it was hit by the truck.
Witnesses say that the driver of the trailer had tried crossing the railway but hit the train fro the rear end.
The boda boda rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital for treatment.
“Kenya Railways officials say efforts are being made to remove the wagons while our own St John Ambulance medics are at the scene,” said Fred Majiwa of St. John’s Ambulance.
The accident has caused traffic along the busy outering road and police are asking motorists to use alternative routes.
