Tottenham Adamant To Release Wanyama For Harambee Stars, Ghana Clash

Sources have it that premier league side, Tottenham Hotspur are reluctant to release Victor Wanyama to join Kenya in an African Cup of Nations tie against Ghana.

Spurs maintain that the midfielder is recovering from an injury sustained during their American Tour and will need to stay in London for rehabilitation.

Football Kenya Federation are said to be negotiating with the Lilly Whites to let their captain join the rest of the team camping in Nairobi.

Their argument is that Spurs have no obligation to deny the 27-year old a chance to honour a FIFA sanctioned game.

Harambee Stars host the Black Stars on Saturday at Moi Sport Center, Kasarani.
