These South African Women Mourn their Dead Friends by Twerking at Funerals

A video of some South African women mourning their dead friend by twerking at her funeral has gone viral. The women from Soshanguve region are known to respect their dead friends by twerking at their funerals.

According to City Pressmourner shot the video and loaded it on to YouTube – and it’s become so popular an enterprising businessperson created a DVD that sold like hotcakes for R10 (Ksh 100) at bus stops in the neighbouring areas.

The video shows the women, wearing matching skintight dresses, twerking, dancing and kicking their legs up in the air. Loud music is blaring and other attendees are cheering them on.

One of the girls can be seen shaking her backside until her short zebra-striped dress creeps all the way up to her waist.
