Moses Kuria has alleged that the 2022 election will have an extra ballot paper to vote for a referendum.
The Gatundu South Member of Parliament alluded that this extra ballot will be introduced in 2022 and that the introduction of the new ballot will commence in 2022 and that it would would continue through subsequent elections. He said that the changes effected by the referendum in 2022 would take effect in 2027.

The purpose of this according to Moses Kuria would save money from the public coffers as they would not need to pay twice for a election and a referendum within the same period.
His utterances come hot in the heels of president Uhuru rejecting the calls for a referendum that Raila Odinga has been pushing for after the handshake.
The calls have for a referendum have put the Jubilee party into a frenzy as the Deputy president’s supporters kept on rejecting the call saying that a referendum should not be a means to increasing positions to accommodate the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
