IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has denied leading a manhunt on CEO Ezra Chiloba but it was procedural so that an audit can be conducted on some issues that arose during last years elections expenditures.

He accused the commissioners who resigned of deviating the attention from the real issues that were ailing the commission. Wafula Chebukati said that he believes that the resignations were instigated by outside forces and were not out of their own volition.

He asked that undue pressure for them to resign should stop forthwith as they were committed to their work and if anyone felt unsatisfied the y should follow the laid down procedure for removal of commissioners.

Wafula  Chebukati held the press conference after it was alleged that the Commission skipped a senate meeting.  He confirmed that the meeting had been postponed to a later date.
