Candidates Who Missed KCPE To Sit Supplementary Exams; President Kenyatta Orders

KCPE Candidates who for compassionate reasons missed out on their exams will now sit for supplementary exams as ordered by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking at Harambee House, State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu said that the President had asked CS Education Fred Matiang’i to set special exams.

“President Kenyatta has directed CS Matiang’i to set special supplementary exams to students who may be ill, those who have lost their parents or have just given birth,” he said.

The results were released on Tuesday morning at the KICD where the top candidate according to Matiang’i had scored 455 marks.

Goldalyn Kakuya, from St Ann Juniour School Lubao, Kakamega County emerged top in the country. She scored 99 in English, Kiswahili, Mathematics 85, Science 88, and Social Studies 84 marks.

Ms Kakuya hopes to become a banker or a neurosurgeon upon completing university studies, she told Nairobi News.
