A Strathmore University lecturer was on Wednesday morning arraigned at the Kibera Law courts after he allegedly beat his wife to death.
Fredrick Onyango Ogola, according to Nairobi Police Commander, Japheth Koome was in a heated argument with his wife, Margaret Gobi Mwachongo before things took a turn for the worst.
”She was taken to hospital to hospital unconscious after that evening fight (December 31) but she succumbed to her injuries,” Mr Koome said.
Mr Ogola did not take a plea but will remain in custody for 10 days, giving the police time to complete the investigations.
Sharing the news with friends on social media, the don took a trip down memory lane sharing images of the deceased.
”Memories that I now miss, really painful,” he captioned one of the pictures.
”To my friends on FB, what happened was too painful that I have been unable to believe and that’s why I didn’t update you, my lovely wife left me and went to the lord. It’s so hurting in as much as it is hard to express. Rip my love,” he wrote on another status update.
Ms Mwachongo leaves behind a seven week old baby.
