ODM politician Steve Mbogo who vied for the Starehe seat has made an application to the court to scrutinize ballot boxes and KIEMs kits used for the Starehe MP elections.
He has identified three polling stations where he wanted the election materials scrutinized. Mbogo who came second in the Starehe race after being beaten by Charles Kanyi Njagua alias Jaguar, petitioned against the win of the Starehe MP.
The latest application will be heard on January 12.
He also said that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) had failed to conduct a free and fair election and therefore asked the court to order the electoral commission to order for a fresh election.
The politician says that the manner in which the vote tallying and declaration of results for Starehe constituency was not in conformity with the constitution.
