Sports Kenya Hires Out Kasarani Stadium To Comedian Eric Omondi Ahead of Gor Mahia International Match

Sports Kenya hired out the Kasarani Stadium to comedian Eric Omondi ahead of Gor Mahia who must use it for their CAF Confederation Cup match against Petro Atletico of Angola on Sunday.

The Angolans arrived in the country on Friday and the final Group D match must go on bar any calamity.

There was a small stand off between Gor Mahia and Kasarani Stadium management, who insisted that K’Ogalo could only train at the facility later Saturday afternoon to allow Omondi to finish his video shoot.

But matches of international status like the Sunday’s follow a strict order of events which cannot just be altered.

It is understood that Ghanaian General Coordinator for the game Fredrick Acheampong stood his ground and ensured Gor Mahia trained as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the visitors, Petro Atletico, will have their session at 7pm.

Accord to CAF regulations, a hosting team must get hold of a match venue for two days.

It costs Gor Mahia around Ksh 300,000 to hire Kasarani Stadium for their international matches.
