Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has rejected Suba MP, John Mbadi’s nomination as the leader of minority.
Muturi says that due process was not followed.
He has ordered that NASA issue’s a new list by November 17 when the house resumes from recess.
“I have received many letters, from ODM, Ford-Kenya, ANC claiming to have agreed on certain position. Surely, how do you expect me to make a decision? Please just follow the procedure as provided in the Standing Orders,”the Speaker said.
“Please just hold a meeting, take proper minutes and have a final decision over the matters. I believe that is not something difficult to do, in fact it can be done even today,” he added.
The legislator was nominated house leader of minority and was deputized by Ayub Savula.
Mbadi took over form Francis Nyenze of Kitui West.
