Nairobi county has suspended John Ojwang’ from the Urban Planning department for his role in approving buildings built on riparian land.
Ojwang’ has according to a letter signed by the Director Governor’s Press Services Elkana Jacob, been asked to show cause within 14 days why disciplinary action should not be taken against him, including losing his job.
The letter further states that the county employee is responsible for approving the construction of the already demolished South End mall and Gem Suites in Riverside Drive.
“The suspension follows preliminary investigations ordered by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to hold responsible the staff who gave the approvals irregularly.”
