Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has suspended three county chiefs over misuse of funds.
Chief of Staff Brian Mugo was suspended alongside acting Head of County Treasury Stephen Mutua and Ekaya Alumasi.
The embattled county boss has asked the DCI to speedily investigate the claims and should the suspects be found accountable, then they should be prosecuted.
The trio was also said to have issued Local Purchase Orders (LPO) and Service Orders (LSO) without Sonko’s permission.
They reportedly inflated the LPOs as well.
