Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s health docket nominee did not appear before the Nairobi County Assembly’s Committee on Appointments.
Dr Stella Bosire failed to submit her credentials before the board citing her reservations in working with Sonko.

The health docket nominee did however express her interest in serving “Kenyans in other spaces.”
The county chief has been seeking to fill vacant positions in his cabinet. He nominated Winfred Kathagu for chief officer economic planning, Lucia Mulwa for the education chief officer, United Republican Party (URP) nominated legislator Ms Sanjeev Kaur Sonia Birdi to the environment docket and Pauline Kahiga Waititu for housing chief officer.
This was after his fall out with Education CEC Janet Muthoni Ouko and his sacking of Hitan Majevdia as health boss and Veska Kangogo in the devolution docket.
On his part, Sonko noted that these kinds of things happen and are normal.
“She was referred to me by one of my confidants as I wanted a woman well-grounded in health matters. However, we will nominate somebody else,” he said.
