The search for a new chief executive has begun for Pan-African homes financier Shelter Afrique following the exit of former chief executive James Mugerwa.
According to a notice issued by the company all applicants are required to have ethical, professional and results-oriented leadership approach” along with multi-cultural leadership skills.
All applicants interested must be citizens of one of the 44 Shelter Afrique Member states, hold a master’s degree in management and economics, and 15 years worth of experience in the respective leadership positions.

“As part of its transformation and restructuring program, the company seeks experienced professionals from its Member States to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer of the company,” said the Nairobi headquartered Shelter Afrique in the notice.
The new Chief Executive will receive a five-year contract that is renewable once.
“Mr Mugerwa offered to resign in order to pursue other interests. The Board wishes Mr Mugerwa every success in his future endeavours,” Shelter Afrique said in a statement.
A forensic audit carried out revealed Mugerwa could not account for $7,845 (Sh784,500) in advances.
