Security has been heightened in Kisumu, Siaya ahead of former US President Barrack Obama’s visit.
The 44th POTUS jetted in on Sunday afternoon after which he made a courtesy call to President Uhuru Kenyatta and later on in the day met up with ODM party leader, Raila Odinga at Villa Rosa Kempinski.
Obama’s jet has this morning landed at Kisumu Airport where there were stringent security measures.
He was received by Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o.
He will be hosted to a private breakfast by his grandmother Mama Sarah and thereafter head to his sister Auma Obama’s Sauti Kuu launch.
The last activity of the day will be the unveiling of the Sauti Kuu basketball court. Accompanying him is an NBA team.

The former President will then leave for South Africa where he will give an address marking Nelson Mandela’s 100th anniversary.
It is there where he will be joined by TV Personality, Oprah Winfrey among other celebrities.
