    DP Ruto, Waiguru The Most Corrupt Leaders – Ipsos Synovate Report

    Kenyans believe Deputy President William Ruto is the most corrupt leader, latest Ipsos Synovate poll has shown.

    33 per cent of Kenyans believe that the DP is one of the corrupt influential people followed closely by Kirinyaga county Governor Anne Waiguru at 31 per cent.

    The survey also shows that at least 32 per cent of Kenyans think corruption is one of the most serious problems in the country with 82 per cent of the people being aware of at least one scandal by July 2018 up from 65 per cent in June 2016.

    Some of the scandals cited in the survey include the Sh468 Million NYS saga, Kenya Power, the illegal sugar importation and maize importation scandals.

    The survey also shows that 11 per cent of the people believe that President Uhuru Kenyatta is corrupt, while five per cent say that former president Mwai Kibaki and ODM Party leader Raila Odinga are corrupt as well.

    But the survey shows that 51 per cent of Kenyans believe Uhuru is sincere in the fight against corruption.
