Ex-Shujaa captain and rugby sevens legend Humphrey Kayange has been appointed to the board of the Kenya Academy of Sports alongside marathon great Tegla Loroupe.
The appointments took effect starting 20 September 2018.
36-year-old Kayange is the Chairman Athletes Commission at the National Olympic Commission of Kenya (NOCK).
After over a decade representing Kenya, Kayange, a biochemist, hung up his boots in June this year.
Loroupe, 45, is a former world marathon record holder and three-time world half marathon champion.

She is a global spokesperson for peace, women’s rights and education.
Kenya Academy of Sports is a state corporation established in 2013 to develop sports talents through establishment and management of academies.
They seek to identify, nurture and develop talent among the youth of Kenya as well as train sports technical personnel.
