The The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have finally welcomed their new born baby boy.
The baby, who is yet to be named, is reported to have been delivered on Monday morning.
Announcing the news, Buckingham Palace shared: “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
“The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives,” they declared.
They further mentioned that they would share more details at a later moment.
Speaking on the birth of his son, Prince Harry mentioned that they are both “absolutely thrilled” over his birth.
He then thanked the public for their support during the pregnancy.

According to reports, Meghan was one week past his due date for the birth of her son.
The royals had previously announced their intentions to move to Africa after the birth of their child, it however remains unclear if they will live up to their plans on the same.
Meghan had also announced that she would not immediately share the pictures of her newborn as opposed to how Prince William and Kate did with their children.
