Two police officers were arrested after defrauding a Malian foreigner from his apartment in Kilimani. The police officers are reported to have ransacked the house taking a few items.
The police officers took $8,000 (Sh806,480), Sh83,000, three Rolex watches each valued at $15,000 and his passport.
The police then took the Malian foreigner to Central Police station but did not book him. They instead demanded for another 8000 USD.
DCI George Kinoti said that officers from the Flying squad department had arrested two officers in relation to the incident at Yaya Centre where the money was supposed to be delivered. The passport of the complainant was recovered from the two officers.

“The Flying Squad is still looking for the other rogue officers including one driver attached to the County Criminal Investigations Officer, Nairobi Area,” DCI Kinoti said .
