Nairobi city council will give 300 hawkers, bodaboda riders and Matatu operators a rare opportunity.
The county council will sponsor a trip for the three hundred city dwellers to go for bench marking in Rwanda. Chief Operations Officer Peter Mbaya said that the purpose of the trip was that the stakeholders i this three sectors to learn how Rwandese operate their business in order.
Hawkers, Matatu operators and bodaboda operators have developed unruly self regulation mechanisms that has seen them continuously engage in cat and mouse chase with council askaris.
This will be a rare opportunity as bench marking has often been synonymous with elected leaders who fail to truncate the lessons learnt down to the public.
