NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga has been asked by the Jubilee party leader to drop his presidential bid.
Speaking in Mai Mahiu on Tuesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta asked Odinga to withdraw his bid and instead seek the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairmanship, currently held by Wafula Chebukati.
The head of state was referring to the leader of opposition’s demands tabled before the commission which he has said must be met before another election is held.
Kenyatta maintained that the opposition’s ‘irreducible minimum’ was only a show of fear as they are not ready for the repeat presidential polls slated for October 26.
Odinga has demanded for the disbandment of the IEBC, another ballot printing firm, discredited French IT firm, OT Morpho.
