National Super Alliance (NASA) on Monday asked foreign envoys to keep off the country’s political affairs.
According to the opposition leader, Raila Odinga, the diplomats were not being helpful by getting involved in the upcoming elections.
Odinga, while speaking in Kisii said that the envoys were pushing Kenyans to participate in an election that ‘will not be credible and will only throw the country into deeper political crisis.’
The former Prime Minister reproached the diplomats for keeping mum after IEBC commissioner, Roselyn Akombe resigned citing threats to her life.
Odinga also noted that the envoys kept silent on revelations made by the former commissioner who said that the IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati could not guarantee a credible election.
The ODM party leader expressed concern that the diplomatic community was only pushing for any kind of election just to close the chapter. He said that they crossing the line in interfering with the elections.

The NASA leaders warned that “a small minority” that is determined to subvert Kenya’s journey towards democratization will fail and instead be swept away.
“There will be elections in Kenya soon but not this month (October)” Odinga said.
Odinga earlier on in the day held talks with ambassadors and high Commissioner of the US, UK, EU, Norway and Denmark who all asked NASA to participate in the poll that is now three days away.
The opposition leader maintained that their irreducible minimum demands were yet to be met and that the commission was not ready to deliver a to conduct free, fair and credible elections.
Mr. Odinga accused the diplomats of adding confusion to the country and asked them to leave Kenyans alone.
