“No Kenyan Should Lose Their Lives On Account Of Politics,” President Uhuru Addresses The Nation

President Uhuru Kenyatta during the State of The Nation Address said that his administration recovered Sh. 500 million and instituted proceedings in court.

Kenyatta said that the judiciary should not give orders to aid individuals to avoid justice. He also asked members of parliament to provide the tools to fight graft.

The president said that despite the long electioneering period the GDP still rose and Kenya managed to keep its visitors comfortable.

He said that despite the milestones that were made in the health sector there were still strides that needed to be made especially with regard s to immunization.

The president said that Kenya is more secure that it was during his last state of the nation address. He said that he has empowered the county administration to improve the county security.

The president has said that never again should a Kenyan loose life and property on account of politics. He asked leaders to apologise for the words, malice and anger that Kenyans heard from them

He said that Kenyans should shakes hands and celebrate Kenya’s diversity.

President Uhuru Kenyatta praised Raila Odinga for exercising  statesmanship. He said that they agreed that Kenya is greater than both of them.

The address takes place four months after he was sworn in for his second term.
