Tanzanian president John Magufuli has appointed actress and Ali Kiba’s ex girlfriend Jokate Mwegelo as the District commissioner of Kisarawe District.
The former Miss Tanzania second runners up who has been the youth league leader of the ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) a position she was appointed to last year.

She holds a Bachelors degree on Political Science from the University of Dar Es Salaam and was at one time listed among the top 30 under 30 entrepreneurs for her company Kidoti Loving.
Jokate Mwegelo is also a successful actress having featured in many films. She recently resurfaced on social media after a four month hiatus, She dated music sensation Ali Kiba before he tied the knot to his wife Amina earlier this year.
