Police Shoot Dead Teenage Boy, Mistake Him For Shimoli Junior (Photo)


The police on Friday shot and killed a 17 year old boy, Arnold Okong’o alias Randy in Jericho.

Randy, son to Jericho All Stars’ FC coach, Thomas Okong’o, was mistaken for one of the most wanted criminals, Leone Shimoli Junior.

Earlier reports indicated that Shimoli had been taken down by the police after trailing him for a while.

Speaking at the scene of crime, Buruburu DCI boss Jeremiah Ikiao said that Shimoli Jnr had been terrorising sportsmen and fans at Camp Toyoyo stadium area, mostly after games.

“He was part of a gang that terrorized people after games,” he said, adding that they found a revolver with two rounds of ammunition on the deceased.

It is said that once the police made out that that they had shot the wrong person, they quickly took the body away before witnesses could ask questions.

The deceased’s father is crying for justice for his brutally murdered son.
