Police officers are apparently at Nation Media Group’s head office with orders for the arrest of the Managing Editor, Linus Kaikai.

Kaikai says that he is yet to establish the reasons for his arrest.

The government switched off three TV stations;Citizen Tv, NTV and KTN on Tuesday over their alleged links with the criminal organized group, National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Kaikai on Monday said that the government ‘expressly threatened’ to shut down and revoke the licenses of any media house that would broadcast live the planned “swearing-in” of Nasa leaders.

”The Guild is appalled by the details of the meeting which was held under an atmosphere of intimidation for the media representatives present. This brazen threat is intended to intimidate the media from performing its rightful role of informing the public on matters affecting them,” Kaikai’s statement read in part.
