Police have allegedly been deployed outside Dagoreti North MP Simba Arati’s home home in Kileleshwa even as NASA vowed to go ahead with its scheduled parallel rally at Jacaranda grounds.
Arati woke to a group of sleuths at his gate.
Heavy contingents of Police and Army officers and their paraphernalia have thronged the Jacaranda ground as State seeks to avert embarrassment if NASA holds its rally parallel to Uhuru Kenyatta’s swearing in ceremony.
Four officers slept outside his gate while an amoured personnel carrier arrived at his gate on Tebere Crescent off Kangundo Road by6.30am.
Arati is currently under siege inside his home even as Nairobi county police commander Japheth Koome, however, denied deploying any police officers to Mr Arati’s home.
The MP, a NASA hardliner is touted as one of the mobilizer for Jacaranda rally.
Police are also engaging the public in Jacaranda, Embakasi, as police battle to stop Nasa prayer rally; officers tear-gas everywhere, beat whoever they come across.
