A man challenging Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s win claims that he received threats to his life and those of his family on Saturday.
Japheth Muroko asked Justice Msagha Mbogholi to adjourn the case for a day, to enable him record his statement.
His lawyer, Anthony Oluoch told the court that his client had reported the matter to the police on Monday morning and would provide an OB number upon request.
Sonko’s lawyer, Harrison Kinyanjui said that the allegations however grave, were not backed by evidence.
The Judge, citing time constraints declined to adjourn the hearing but only pushed it to Monday afternoon.
