Former Meru governor and PNU party leader Peter Munya has reconciled with Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi.The two are said to have met with president Uhuru Kenyatta and talked over their differences.

The two Meru leaders have been arch rivals with both trying to gain supremacy in the county.It is unclear whether Peter Munya will withdraw the petition filed against the Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi.
He had earlier joined NASA but decamped back to Jubilee after the elders spoke to him,he had however vowed not to share a podium with Kiraitu Murungi even though they were both supporting and campaigning for Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kiraitu Murungi won the governor seat on a Jubilee ticket defeating Peter Munya who was running on a PNU ticket which was affiliate to the Jubilee party.
The Deputy President urged the members of the Jubilee Party to remain united and focused to ensure a win in the fresh polls.
