Passengers from Kisumu who were forced to spend the night after the flight developed a mechanical problem and failed to start were a disappointed lot after the airline booked them on the same flight that had failed to start on Saturday afternoon.

Former NTV reporter,  Steve Juma, who had booked the flight told Nairobi News that several GSU officers had been deployed to the airport in case of any chaos.

Passengers who had booked a KQ flight which delayed were  forced to use a low cost Jambojet flight as a result of the delay.

Irritated passengers walked out of the flight and demanded that they be given alternative means to travel to their destination. The angry passengers were annoyed that KQ opted to give them a low cost flight as opposed to what they had paid for.

There was a stand off at the airport as the passengers demanded for a solution to their problem. One passenger took to twitter to demand KQ to solve the problem in which the airline told him to liase with the staff on the ground at the Kisumu airport.

The passengers were later checked into a hotel.
