The Kenya Airports Authority(KAA) Parking Services has reviewed the parking charges at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and this has caused an uproar amongst motorists and travelers.
The minimum time to be charged at the airport is 20 minutes while the maximum time will now be 2 hours. Anyone parking beyond 2 hours will be penalized. These charges apply to drop off ad pick up vehicles.

Those parking for 20 minutes or less will pay Ksh.100, those parking for between 20 and 40 minutes will pay Ksh.250, while those parking for between 40 minutes and 1 hour will part with Ksh.350.
The Consumer Federation of Kenya has termed the move as unrealistic, irrational and exploitative.

Kenyans on Twitter have also reacted and called for Kenyans to speak up against this move that will not only hurt travelers but also the Taxi business.
Back in 2015, the Kenya Airport Parking Services doubled the parking charges, now it is up to triple the amount and is said to be meant to discourage motorist from congesting the airport.
