ODPP Requests For Busy Kinoti, Boinnet Not To Appear Before Court

The Inspector general of police and DCI George Kinoti have filed affidavits to show cause as to why they will not be appearing before court as ordered by Justice Luka Limaru through the ODPP.

The ODPP said that they will not attend court as the will be attending a National security conference and that the affidavits that they presented were sufficient. In the affidavit DCI Kinoti explains that the had been informed by his officers that Miguna  had been released .

“I was informed by my officers that the applicant (Miguna) was released vide OB/6/2/18,” DCI Kinoti stated in his affidavit.

The Director of the department of immigration Gordon Kihalangwa said that his officers arrested the lawyer at Embakasi after a directive had been given by the interior CS to deport him. He says that he was not aware of any court order as the was not party to the court proceedings.
