The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has denied reports that NASA leader, and the People’s President has fled from his Karen Home as the government cracks down on ‘facilitators and co-conspirators’ of the Raila Odinga ‘swearing in.’
”This headline, and the story herein, is total hogwash, gutter and mocks a time-tested tenet of great journalism: that a journalism work shouldn’t proceed, entirely, on hearsay,” the party said, rubbishing reports by the Star.
The local daily reported that Odinga has not been to his Karen home since Tuesday.
The former Premier is allegedly operating from an unknown city hotel and only businessman, jimmy Wanjigi and his daughter, Winnie Odinga have access to him.
He has kept a low profile after taking the ‘illegal’ oath that has seen Rauaraka MP, TJ Kajwang and NRM General, Miguna Miguna apprehended.
The ODM party leader was last seen in public at the late Yvonne Wamalwa’s requiem mass in Nairobi.
He was supposed to make an appearance at a rally held on Sunday at Rauraka but was a no-show.
He is expected to name a ‘cabinet’ amid pressure from supporters to drop Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula who have been labelled ‘betrayers’ after missing out on the ‘oath’ taking ceremony.
