Migori Governor Okoth Obado has denied involvement in the death of varsity student, Sharon Otieno.
Through the county communication boss, Nicholas Anyuor, the governor also distanced himself from the abduction of Nation journalist Barrack Oduor on Monday night.
The allegations, he said were meant to hurt his reputation and is nothing but a political witch-hunt. He also demanded that the media desists from associating him with the the deceased, who he allegedly impregnated and later abandoned.
The county communication boss also said that the arrest of Obado’s personal assistant Michael Oyamo is not sufficient evidence to link the former to the kidnapping.
Sharon’s body was recovered in Kodera Forest on Tuesday night.
The second year Medical Records student’s father, Douglas Otieno said he viewed the body at the Oyugis Level 4 hospital mortuary.
Details have also emerged that the Rongo University student was pregnant.
