Tahmeed Bus Company

The National Disaster Management Authority wants Tahmeed bus company suspended after one of its drivers was caught on tape overspeeding on Mombasa Road.

The authority’s assistant director, Pius Masai wants the driver of the bus, REG NO. KCN 973R, arrested for endangering the passengers’ lives.

”We demand that the driver of the bus and the sacco should be punished,” Masai said, adding that NTSA should go after bus companies and saccos violating road safety rules.

”Why should we allow rogue drivers on roads? They do not value life and rush to their destinations at the expense of passengers,” he added.

Speaking to the Star, NTSA’s road safety director Njeri Waithaka said that their officers had on Thursday arrested the said driver after the matter was brought to their attention.
