Former Kirinyaga Gubernatorial candidate Martha Karua has put to rest claims that she might be headed for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s yet to be unveiled Cabinet.
Karua, who is also Narc Kenya’s leader said she has been in the cabinet before and does not wish to serve in the national government in this five years period.
“I am not looking forward to serve in the government at the national level, My interest is at the the County,” Karua said adding that “I can work with the Government but not as an insider, I do not wish to return to cabinet as it is now.”

President Uhuru had in his campaigns for re-election said whoever lost in the Kirinyaga gubernatorial race that pitted former bureaucrat Anne Waiguru against Karua would be absorbed in his government.
Karua having lost the petition challenging Waiguru’s win was touted as one of the possible nominees for cabinet slots alongside other politicians who vied, lost and expressed support for Jubilee but the former Presidential candidate known for her candidness is not keen on any cabinet position.
